FAQ - Shower Filter
Will this fit my shower?
Yes. Our shower filters fit standard shower arms and showerhead connections, so they work with most shower setups in Oman.
How do I install it?
Installation is simple and does not need tools. You attach the filter between your shower arm and showerhead, and setup takes about 2 minutes. In Muscat, installation is free on orders of OMR 15 or more, and our technician will fit it for you.
What does the shower filter remove?
Our shower filters reduce chlorine, sediment and rust particles. Models with KDF media, such as the Multi-Stage Luxury Shower Filter, also reduce some dissolved heavy metals.
Will a shower filter fix hard water?
No. Shower filters do not soften water or remove calcium and magnesium, the minerals that cause white scale. For that you need a water softener. Read Hard water in Oman: do you need a water softener?
How can filtered shower water help my skin and hair?
Chlorine is the main reason skin feels tight and hair feels dry after a shower. Reducing it can help skin and hair feel less dry and make the shower more comfortable. Results vary with your water and your routine.
Is this suitable for Oman's water conditions?
Yes. Our filters are chosen for Oman's chlorinated mains water and for sediment from rooftop storage tanks.
How long does the filter last?
Each cartridge lasts 3 to 6 months (roughly 10,000 to 15,000 litres for the Multi-Stage cartridge), depending on household size and use.
How often should I replace the cartridge?
Every 3 to 6 months. Larger households or heavy use may need a replacement sooner. Use code REFILL10 for 10% off replacement cartridges.
Do you sell replacement cartridges?
Yes. We sell replacement cartridges for every filter, and the filters are also available in bundles with 1, 2 or 3 spare cartridges.
Will the filter reduce water pressure?
In normal use, no. Pressure depends on your mains supply, and a cartridge that is overdue for replacement can reduce flow.
Is it safe for children or sensitive skin?
Yes. The filters are suitable for the whole family, including children and people with sensitive skin.
What if I have a problem with installation?

Do you offer delivery in Oman?
Yes. Muscat: free delivery, same day for orders placed before 2 PM. Rest of Oman: free delivery on orders of OMR 15 or more, otherwise OMR 2 (2 to 3 working days). Cash on delivery is available.
Which filter should I choose?
For the most complete chlorine reduction, choose the Multi-Stage Luxury Shower Filter (7 stages, including KDF-55, calcium sulfite and vitamin C). If you prefer a steel housing, choose the Premium Steel Shower Filter. If you use a hand shower, choose the Luxury Fragrance Shower Filter.
Is this for drinking water?
No. These products are made for shower water. For drinking water, a reverse osmosis (RO) system is the right choice. See home RO systems from UV Water Systems.
